Edinburgh South (Scottish Parliament constituency)
Edinburgh Southern is a constituency of the Scottish Parliament. It was introduced in 1999 under the name Edinburgh South as one of nine constituencies of the Lothians electoral region. As part of the revision of the electoral regions in 2011 the Lothians region was again cut and renamed Lothian. Here the boundaries of Edinburgh South were redrawn and renamed the constituency in Edinburgh Southern. The constituency covers the southern areas of Edinburgh and appoint a deputy.
