Kirsi Boström

Kirsi Helene Boström ( born Tiira; born May 20, 1968 in Parikkala ) is a former Finnish orienteer.

Kirsi Tiira started already in 1988 with races in the orienteering World Cup. In 1989 she won the Venla with the season of Helsingin NMKY. Another success in this competition was followed in 1998 with the season of Angelniemen Ankkuri. Their first World Cup participation was in 1991 in Czechoslovakia, as she took 15th place in two individual events. In 1993 she won the Nordic championship in the sprint, as well as with the Finnish season, finishing at the World Championships in the United States, the eighth and five in the individual runs. The Finnish squadron also won the silver medal with Tiira behind Sweden. 1995 won the Finns in a relay race. Besides Tiira ran in the relay still Reeta -Mari Kolkkala, Eija Koskivaara and Annika Viilo. At the 1997 World Championships in Grimstad, Norway she missed on the long distance to four seconds a medal in 1999 in Scotland, she succeeded in winning a world championship medal in singles. Bostrom pointed to the long distance the defending Hanne Staff from Norway to second place. She also won silver in the relay. The Home 2001 World Championships in Tampere were the last international championships Boströms.

She is married to the Finnish orienteers Mikael Boström.
