Kirsi Heikkinen

Kirsi Heikkinen ( born September 26, 1978 in Espoo as Kirsi Savolainen ) is a Finnish football referee.

Heikkinen is football referee since 1998 and has since 2002 international games. In Finland it is for women in the Naisten Liiga ( highest division ), and among men in the Ykkönen ( second highest division) used. Full-time Heikkinen works as a teacher.

In 2007, she led the final of the U-19 European Championship between Germany and England. At the European Championships in 2009 Heikkinen served for four games, including the semi-final between Germany and Norway.

A year later, Heikkinen was used in the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League match between Olympique Lyon and 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam.

FIFA Heikkinen nominated for the World Cup 2011 in Germany. She headed the two group matches against New Zealand, Japan and France against Germany and the USA semifinal against France. While they distributed a total of five yellow cards plus a red card against the French goalkeeper Sapowicz in the encounter against France Germany, she came in the semifinals with a single yellow card.

In 2012 she was nominated for the football tournament at the Olympics and came in two games, including the quarter-final between Brazil and Japan as the main referee and two games as a fourth official for use.

Also for the European Football Championship Women 2013 she was nominated and headed the group stage matches against Iceland Germany and France against England, also the quarter-final match against Sweden Iceland.
