Kjelfossen

The Kjelfossen is a waterfall in the Norwegian municipality of Aurland in the village of Gudvangen in the Sogn og Fjordane. It lies on the major trunk road E16 from Bergen to Oslo.

Coming from Voss sees the Kjelfossen relatively quickly after the last one was tunnel in steel home passed through. From Flam we should take a break after crossing the Gudvangen Tunnel, otherwise one overlooks the waterfall. The total height is about 840 m, the largest free fall of about 149 m.

From the village of Gudvangen you can hike to the foot of Kjelfossen.
