Kľačany

Kľačany ( until 1927 slovak " Klacany "; Klatzany German, Hungarian Décskelecsény - to 1907 Kelecsény ) is a municipality in western Slovakia with 1021 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011), which belongs to Okres Hlohovec, a part of the Trnavský kraj.

Geography

The municipality is located in the hill country Nitrianska pahorkatina (part of the Slovak Danube lowland ) on the stream ANDAC. The center is located at an altitude of 170 m nm and is eight kilometers Hlohovecký and 20 kilometers from Nitra away.

Neighboring municipalities are Hlohovec, Pastuchov, Sasinkovo ​​and Rišňovce.

Kľačany was first mentioned in 1256 as Kelechnet writing.
