The district Klaipeda ( Memel German district ) was one of the ten counties that made up the top step of the administrative division of Lithuania from 1994 to 30 June 2010.

He covered the entire Baltic coast of Lithuania, part of the historical regions of Memel and low Lithuania ( Schemaitien / Žemaitija ). The district bordered to the north by Latvia, and to the south by Russia.
