Klaus Florian Vogt

Klaus Florian Vogt (born 1970 in Heide, Holstein ) is a German teenager heroic tenor, as Lohengrin celebrates the great achievements in particular.

Life

Klaus Florian Vogt studied horn and was after his diploma a few years as a horn player in the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg. Meanwhile, he studied singing at the Lübeck Academy of Music and in 1997 received an engagement at the National Theatre Flensburg.

In 1998, Vogt at the Semperoper in Dresden, where he was promoted, among others, by the former music director Giuseppe Sinopoli. At first he was a lyric tenor, but expanded his repertoire over the Tamino in Mozart's Magic Flute on something more dramatic roles such as the Hans in The Bartered Bride Bedrich Smetana and Matteo in Richard Strauss' Arabella.

A breakthrough meant for Vogt debut as Lohengrin at the Theater Erfurt in 2002. With this game he performs since then in the world and has his repertoire since expanded to other parts of the youthful hero tenor compartment as the Stolzing in Richard Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Parsifal.

Since 2003, Vogt has worked as a freelance artist. In 2007, the singer made ​​his debut as Stolzing at the Bayreuth Festival.

2008 Vogt awarded the art prize of the federal state of Schleswig -Holstein. Since 2011 he has been an exclusive Sony Classical artist. In January 2012, his debut album was released heroes with arias by Wagner, Mozart, Weber and Korngold. In 2012 he received the German Echo Classical Music Award in the category Singer of the Year for this album.

Klaus Florian Vogt lives with his wife and four sons in Dithmar in Schleswig -Holstein.
