Philharmoniker Hamburg

The Philharmoniker Hamburg (until 2005/2006 Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg ) with its general music director Simone Young are the orchestra of the Hamburg State Opera. History

The orchestra, founded in 1828, was first called " Philharmonic Concert Society ". In 1896 he founded the "Association of Hamburg's music lovers " with the aim of state support funds for a non-seasonal, permanent Hamburg Symphony Orchestra provide.
