Klaus Kotter

Klaus Kotter ( born May 27, 1934 in Prien am Chiemsee, † 13 May, 2010 Bavaria) was a German tax consultant and sports official in the national and international bobsledding.

Kotter was first treasurer of the West German German Bobsleigh and Luge Federation ( DBSV ). During the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1976, he was Olympic Attaché of the West German National Olympic Committee, the same year he was appointed Vice- President of the Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing ( FIBT ) was chosen. In 1978 he was appointed as interim president of FIBT after then-President Amilcare Rotta seriously ill from Italy. 1980 Kotter was then elected President of the International Bobsportvereinigung and held this post until 1994.

In 1984, Kotter President of DBSV, as of 1990 the total German Bobsleigh and Luge Federation of Germany (BSD ), which he remained until his retirement in 2004.

Kotter award in 1995 in Budapest with the Olympic Order. At the same time he was up to his death, honorary president of the FIBT.
