Klaus Pagh

Klaus Pagh ( born July 29, 1935 in Denmark ) is a Danish actor, director and film producer. He played in 40 films since 1956 and was also active as a theater actor.

Life and work

In the 1950s, Pagh had first major film roles, such as in 1956 in the film Spring of Love. He was then referred to as the Danish James Dean. Pagh was seen in all five Soldaterkammerater movies from Sven Methling, which appeared from 1958 to 1962. Three of war comedies were also shown in Germany.

In the 1960s he worked at theaters in Odense and Aalborg. In 1971 he went to Copenhagen, where he worked until 1987 for several theater as director and artistic director.

He was married to actress Sonja Hagen Oppen. Their daughter Anna Hagen Oppen Pagh is also an actress.

In the headlines of the tabloid press, he came when he married a 44 year young Thai woman in 2007. The Danish hip-hop group Suspekt published 2011, a single titled Klaus Pagh. The band called Pagh as a national hero, but the song was not right about him. The name Klaus Pagh stand on behalf of a womanizer like Hugh Hefner and Serge Gainsbourg.
