The Small Bockau is a right tributary of the Great Bockau in the Western Ore Mountains in Saxony.
Name
The name is derived from the altsorbischen Bukova for carrying water. There is also the place Bockau in Erzgebirgskreis.
Course
The Small Bockau rises in the earlier Auersberger reason mentioned hollow between Auersberg and giant mountain at an altitude of about 850 m above sea level. NN and flows in a northeasterly direction. The water is dammed up by the dam Sosa. South of rooms Sacher it empties into the Great Bockau which opens into about 480 m height at the former railway station Blue valley in the river Mulde.
Not far from the source of the stream were the Auersberger houses.
