KÅ‚odkowo

Kłodkowo ( German Klätkow ) is a village in the powiat Gryficki the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Kłodkowo located in Pomerania, about six kilometers southwest of Trzebiatów ( Treptow an der Rega ) twelve kilometers north of Gryfice ( Pommern ) and 80 kilometers north-east of the regional capital Szczecin ( Szczecin).

History

The village is an ancient village church. It is the first time, under the name Clotycowe, mentioned in a document from the year 1224 as one of the villages, which the Pomeranian Duchess Anastasia, widow Bogislaw I, the monastery Belbuck establishing a convent in Treptow an der Rega, the later monastery Marie Busch, pointed over. The village appears again in 1264, as now Duke Barnim I the monastery it in a barter against the village Bialkat ceded. The village was also mentioned in a charter of 1280, with the Abbot Konrad confirmed to have given it to the city Treptow fief.

In 1925 the village had 401 inhabitants. Incorporated was the dwelling place Wefelow.

The village belonged before the end of World War II to Greifenberg county in the district of Stettin, from 1938 to 1945 in the district of Pomerania, Pomerania. After the war, the region was made ​​in 1945 along with all Pomerania under Polish administration.
