KÅ‚okowo

Kłokowo ( German Klockow ) is a village of about 100 inhabitants in Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community Połczyn -Zdrój ( Bad Polzin ) in the powiat Świdwiński.

Geographical location

Kłokowo is located six kilometers south of Połczyn -Zdrój in the northern part of the Drawski Landscape Park (Landscape Park Pomerania ). The place can be reached via a private road link to Złocieniec ( Falkenburg ).

Name

The small former Rittergutsort Klockow took over the name of a hunting area in Bramstädter ( Toporzyk ) Forest.

History

Before 1945 Klockow was with Althütten (now Polish: Dobino ) and Rohberg a Vorwerk of Bramstädt ( Toporzyk ). Founder and first owner of 1735 Consistorial recognized Klockow was the family of Krockow. It was followed by the family of Puttkamer. 1756, the village belonged Major von Klitzing, then Lieutenant General Anton von Krockow. 1862 finally came Klockow for 65,000 dollars into the possession of Henry W. Schuckmann.

Klockow was until 1945 in the district of Belgard ( Persante ) and was part of the official and the civil registry district and police station Bramstädt ( Toporzyk ). District court district was Bad Polzin.

Church

Since the restoration of the independent church Bramstädt ( Toporzyk ) 1898 was the parish Klockow here. The parish belonged to the church district Schivelbein ( Świdwin ) of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union.

Today, the site belongs to the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church.
