Knezha

Knescha ( Bulgarian Кнежа ) is a city in northwestern Bulgaria. It lies in the Oblast Pleven, 32 km east of the town of Byala Slatina. Knescha is to Pleven and Tscherwen brjag the third largest city in the Pleven Oblast and the administrative center of the homonymous municipality Knescha.

Geography

Knescha is 53 km north-east of Vratsa and 24 km north of Tscherwen brjag. To the north is 21 km to the Danube; here is the village of Ostrov. 12 km east of the town of Iskar River flows north towards the Danube.

History

The institute was founded in 1924 by the Ministry of Agriculture by the local agricultural school a proving ground has been connected.
