Knock Castle (Aberdeenshire)

Knock Castle is a castle west of the village of Ballater in the Scottish county of Aberdeenshire. It lies on a hill near the mouth of the Glen Muick in the River Dee. The castle consists only of a central residential tower, a ' Keep'. It was built by the Clan Gordon beginning of the 17th century. Today it is a ruin.
