Blue Perusalmler ( Knodus Borki )

The Blue Perusalmler ( Knodus Borki ), English Cochu 's Blue Tetra is a freshwater fish of the family of the Real tetras. The species is sold for years under the scientific name Boehlkea fredcochui, Gery 1960 aquaristic, but this was based on an erroneous determination. In 2008, the species was described as new.

Occurrence

It is a native to the eastern Peru swarm forming tetras, which reaches a length of about 5 cm. Its occurrence is the clay-colored and mineral-rich waters of the Rio Maranon White, from Ecuador to Peru Iquitos over to the vicinity of Leticia, Colombia.

Features

The Blue Perusalmler has a moderately elongated, laterally flattened body covered with cycloid scales and oliver color.
