Knut Anders Fostervold

Knut Anders Fostervold ( born October 4, 1971) is a Norwegian cyclist and former football player.

Knut Anders Fostervold began his athletic career as a soccer player. From 1994 to 2002 he played for the Norwegian club Molde FK, up to a few months in 2000/2001, where he was on loan to the English club Grimsby Town. With Fostervold in defense Molde 1994 Cup Winners' Cup in 1999 and qualified for the Champions League.

Due to a serious knee injury had Fostervold football in 2002 to give up, and he started cycling. 2005 and 2006, he came third in the Norwegian Championship in the time trial. In 2007, he won two national titles: the team time trial Asle Arvesen together with Kurt and Mikael Brunsvik as well as in the individual pursuit on the track. In 2008 he was runner-up respectively in the team time trial and in the individual pursuit, and third in the individual time trial. In 2005 he was nominated for the mountain bike marathon world championships, but did not go to the starting line, and in 2006 started at the road World Cycling Championships in Salzburg in the ITT, where he finished in 43rd place.

Kurt Asle Arvesen Together with Fostervold operates a training academy (as of 2013). Fostervold even now trains for triathlon, but also continues to deny criteria in his home country.
