Koberg (Taunus)

The Koberg at Haintchen in Hesse Limburg- Weilburg is a 460.5 m above sea level. NN high elevation in the Taunus mountain range.

Geography

Location

The Koberg lies in the east Hintertaunus. In the Taunus Nature Park, it rises just south of Haintchen, in the municipality of seltzer (Taunus ). To the east and north to the collection flows around the Eisenbach. About 0.8 km to the south is the 461.8 m high Suter head.

The forested Koberg is part of the Feldberg- long-necked horse head - floe that separates the Emsbachtal from Weiltal. The Suter head and the flower piece ( 445 m), it forms the last northwestern mountains of this high plaice.

Nature Spatial allocation

The Koberg counts in the main physiographic unit Taunus group (No. 30) in the main unit Eastern Hintertaunus (302) for natural area horse head -Taunus ( 302.6 ).

History

On the Kobergplateau was in Celtic times a place of worship. Their situation is probably with the two -level trails, which in the north-west ridge of wax Hecke ( 370 m) leading past Hesse Street and the east on the opposite ridge Flower Piece ( 445 m) running race in street connection.
