Kohtla -Järve Viru Sputnik is an Estonian ice hockey club from Kohtla -Järve, which was founded in 2003 and plays in the Meistriliiga. The home games are played in the 2000 jäähall spaces comprehensive Kohtla -Järve.

History

The Hockey Association was founded in calendar year 2003 finished in the following year the fifth highest in the Estonian league. From 2005 to 2007, the team placed a further three times in a row in fifth place. In the game year 2009, the team finished in second place behind champion HK Stars. 2010, the club won the Estonian Championship for the first time.

In addition, the club participated in the 2010/11 season part in the discharge of the IIHF Continental Cup and got into the second round in a competition.
