Kok Tobe

Kok - Töbe ( Kazakh Көктөбе, blue 'or' green hill ') is a 1130 m high mountain on the edge of Kungei Alatau mountains in the immediate vicinity of the Kazakh city of Almaty (800 to 1000 m ). The mountain is connected by a cable car from the center of Almaty. Furthermore, it is possible to reach the Kok - Töbe on a road.

On the mountain side there is the 372 -meter high TV tower Almaty - the highest building in the city.

In 2007 was built on the mountain with a bronze statue for the British rock band The Beatles.
