Koki Mizuno

Kōki Mizuno (in Japanese水 野 晃 树, Mizuno Kōki; born September 6, 1985 in Shimizu (now Shizuoka ), Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese football player at the position of midfielder. He currently plays for Kashiwa Reysol.

Career

Mizuno began his career in his high school football team in Shimizu, where he played until 2004. This year JEF United Ichihara Chiba obliged the right midfielder. The first two season, he finished with the club in fourth place. According to an eleventh place in 2006 and a 13th in 2007, he returned to his home and moved back to Europe and signed a contract with Celtic.

In his first season in 2007/ 08 Mizuno was no use. He made his debut in the 2008 /09 season against FC Motherwell on November 8, 2008, when he came on in the 88th minute for Scott McDonald. His first league goal he scored 21 December 2008 against FC Falkirk, assisted by compatriot Shunsuke Nakamura. At the end of the season, the Scottish Ligacup was recovered.

International played Mizuno been four times for his native Japan. He made his debut on 24 March 2007 friendly against Peru. He came on in the 84th minute for Naohiro Takahara. The game ended 2-0 in Tokyo. He also took part in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam at the Asian Cup 2007. The midfielder came in the group matches against the UAE and Vietnam against the hosts used. In both games he came off the bench, but did not come during the tournament used. Japan was fourth at the end.
