Kokkola sub-region

The administrative community Kokkola ( seutukunta Kokkolan Finnish, Swedish Karleby ekonomiska region) is one of two administrative Communities ( seutukunta ) of the Finnish landscape Central Ostrobothnia. It includes the following two cities and communities:

Through the incorporation of the municipality Kaarlela in 1977 and the communities Kälviä, Lohtaja and Ullava in 2009 Kokkola city, now there are only two cities in the administrative community. The area has a size corresponding approximately to the London. In the administration of Community Kokkola, which is 2045 km ², 52 282 people ( as of 2011).
