Kołczygłowy

Kolczyglowy ( German Alt Kolziglow, Kashubian Kòłczëgłowë ) is a village in Poland in Pomeranian province. It is seat of the rural commune ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat Bytowski.

Geography

The place is located in the west of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in the historical Pomerania. About 30 kilometers north is Slupsk ( Stolp ) about 20 kilometers south-east is the neighboring town Bytów ( Buetow ). Through the town, the province road leads 209 ( droga wojewódzka 209) with connections to the national road 21 Slupsk - Miastko. Between 1883 and 1993 Kolczyglowy was connected with the station Kołczygłówki to the now disused railway line Lipusz - Korzybie ( Lippusch - Zollbrueck ).

The landscape is characterized by extensive areas of forest.

History

The first mention was in 1374, when the Pomeranian Duke Casimir IV Bronisius of Puttkamer awarded the top jurisdiction for the place then called Old Kolziglow. The family of Puttkamer remained in the centuries that followed the reign of Old Kolziglow. On 28 July 1847, the marriage of Otto von Bismarck, the later German Chancellor, and Joan of Puttkamer took place in the church of Old Kolziglow.

To 1637 belonged to the Duchy of Pomerania Old Kolziglow, then came under Polish rule until 1657, before it subsequently came into the hands of Brandenburg. In the course of the Prussian administrative reform, the town was incorporated in 1816 in the Rummelsburg county. 1885 were recorded 375 inhabitants, in 1910 there were 440 and 1939, the population was 1,475.

In 1938 the community was incorporated into the municipality of Reddies Old Kolziglow.

In early March 1945, occupied by the Red Army and subsequently placed under Polish administration Alt Kolziglow. The population had fled for the most part before the arrival of the Red Army, but returned in March 1945, initially back. After the grain harvest in 1945, Polish immigrants displaced the German population from their homes and appropriated the farms, including the inventory of. They left the German inhabitants are still working some time for yourself. In the period from autumn 1945 to autumn 1947, the Polish authorities expelled from the German population. The founding year of the first Old Kolziglower church is not known, but it will be in the pre-Reformation period. 1766 considering the new building was a church. 1821 is noted that the church building was completely dilapidated. At the entrance to the church is a bronze relief, which commemorates the marriage of Otto von Bismarck ( Schönhausen - Kniephof ) with Joan of Puttkamer ( Reinfeld ) on 28 July 1847 in this church.

The parish was one of 1940 a total of 3,685 church members, of which 2,367 belonged to the parish of Old Kolziglow and 1,318 for parish Lubben.

1871 Old Kolziglow was the seat of a separate church district, but this was resolved for a long time. Then it belonged to the church district Buetow ( Bytów ) Ostsprengel in the ecclesiastical province of the Church of the Old Prussian Pomerania Union. The church patronage had recently served the lords of the manor of Puttkamer ( Barnow ), Count von Bismarck ( Reinfeld ), Freiherr von Puttkamer ( Lubben ) and the part owner of the former manor Linde bush.

Importantly for Church and Old Town Kolziglow was created in 1899 Cripple and nursing home, whose founder was the parish widow Elisabeth Trantow born of Wietersheim.

Since 1945, a predominantly Catholic population lives in Kolczyglowy. Here is a parish that is associated with the Dean's Office in the Diocese of Bytów Pelplin of the Catholic Church in Poland. The evangelical church members will be supervised by the parish in Slupsk ( Stolp ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

General

The rural community Kolczyglowy comprises approximately 173.34 km ² with about 4,000 inhabitants. It extends west and east of the province road 209 and is crossed by numerous smaller roads.

Similarly, the PKP line 212 leads from Lipusz ( Lippusch ) about Bytów ( Buetow ) to Korzybie ( Zollbrueck ) by the municipality in which the stations Kołczygówki ( New Kolziglow ) and Barnowo ( Barnow ) are located.

Several rivers run through the municipality: in the East it is the Słupia ( Stolpe ), the South East Kamienica ( Kamenz ), in the southwest the Pokrzywa ( crooked ) and in the northwest the Rybie ( Rippbach ). The eastern township is part of this protected landscape park Stolpetal ( Park Krjabrazowy Dolina Slupi ).
