The Cologne Journal of Sociology and Social Psychology ( KZfSS ) is by diffusion and size the most important German -language journal of sociology.

2012 Con t the Impact Factor of 0.481 KZfSS. The magazine was in the statistics of the Social Science Citation Index to rank 98 out of 139 journals considered in the category " Sociology ", and ranked 55 out of 60 journals in the category " Social Psychology ". Under the German-language magazines she finished in first place in the field of social psychology and second place (after the Journal of Sociology ) in the field of sociology.

History

It goes back to the 1921 Leopold von Wiese justified Cologne Vierteljahreshefte of Sociology and was created by him in 1948 as Cologne Journal of Sociology back to life.
