Konecchlumí

Konecchlumí ( German Konetzchlum ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 10 kilometers south-east of Jičín and belongs to Okres Jičín.

Geography

Konecchlumí is located in the headwaters of the Bukovka at the western tip of the Mlázovický Chlum, a part of the Horschitzer sandstone ridge, at the foot of the mountain Hůra ( 389 m). Through the village the European Route 442 / State Road 35 leads between Hradec Králové and Jičín.

Neighboring towns are KAMENICE in the north, Mlázovice in the northeast, Mezihoří in the east, Podhorní Újezd ​​a Vojice to the southeast, and Třtěnice Kabaty in the south, Kovač in the southwest, Kacákova Lhota in the west and Řeheč and Úlibice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was 1226. Since 1355 the existence of the church is occupied. By 1400, the water-resistant Konecchlumí, led to the moats of the Bukovka arose.

Since the beginning of the 16th century it belonged to the family of Konecchlumský Konecchlumí. After the Battle of White Mountain possession Wilhelm was confiscated and executed Older 1621 in Prague. In the 18th century the Counts Trauttmansdorff were owners of the place.

After the abolition of patrimonial Konecchlumí in 1850 to a municipality in the district Jičín. In the 1930s, the community came to Okres Hořice and after its resolution 1961 back to Okres Jičín. In 1961, the incorporation of Kamenice and Kovač after Konecchlumí, since November 24, 1990 Kovač again forms a community.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Konecchlumí Kamenice ( Kamenitz ) and Konecchlumí ( Konetzchlum ).

Attractions

  • Church of St. Peter and Paul; the 1728-1729 created by Theodor Donatius Morazzi Baroque building was built on the account of Franz Norbert of Trauttmansdorff in place of a Gothic previous building from the 14th century.
  • Monument to William the Elder Konecchlumský of Konecchlumí was built in 1907
  • Built in the early 15th century Fixed Konecchlumí is now part of a farmyard. Recent restoration was done 1910.
  • Castle Kamenice; the three-winged classical conditioning and its current form for conversions of 1794 and around 1850. The building dates back to a fortress from the 15th century.
