Königshütte Waterfall

The Königshütter waterfall in the Harz is a man-made waterfall at Chorzów in the district of Harz, in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geographical location

The Königshütter waterfall is located in the Lower Harz Harz nature park / Saxony- Anhalt between the hamlets of New Hut ( west) and Rothehütte (southeast) of Chorzów, which belongs to the city Upper am Brocken. It is located on the southeast flank of the Raven stone ( 499.1 m above sea level. NN ) to about 450 m above sea level. NN. Description and Hiking

The Königshütter waterfall was created artificially in the context of a former quarry in 1994, he pours with a relatively low amount of water of about 12 m height ( according to other sources: 15 and 20 m).
