Life and work

As the son of a rich peasant family visited Konstantin Ivanov from 1903 to 1907 a school for teachers in Simbirsk Chuvash. Excluded for participating in anti-tsarist demonstrations, he returned to Slakbasch. In 1909 he passed the examination for the so-called teachers of the people.

In 1907, he began his literary production with translations of Lermontov, Tolstoy, Nekrasov Koltzov and from Russian into Chuvash.

Already at the age of 18 he wrote the poem Narspi (1908 in Simbirsk published ), which made him famous, was translated into several languages ​​and is also referred to as tschuwaschisches Romeo and Juliet.
