Konstantinos Konstantopoulos

Konstantinos Konstantopoulos (Greek: Κωνσταντίνος Κωνσταντόπουλος ) (* 1832, † 1910 in Athens ) was a Greek politician and Prime Minister of Greece.

I. Konstantopoulos was mayor of Patras during the reign of King Otto. Later he was prefect of the prefectures of Achaia and Elis.

Later, he was elected as a member of the Nationalist Party (comma Ethnikofronon ) by Alexandros Koumoundouros the deputies of the National Assembly ( Vouli ton Ellinon ). There he represented until 1904 the constituency of Mantinea, a town in Arcadia. 1890 to 1892 he was President of the National Assembly.

Following the resignation of Prime Minister Theodoros Deligiannis because of disagreements with King George I on economic issues, Konstantopoulos was his successor on March 1, 1892. He was entrusted with the implementation of early elections by the king. In the election for the National Assembly on May 3, 1892, however, the Nationalist Party of Konstantopoulos and Deligiannis defeated the New Reform Party of Charilaos Trikoupis. On 22 June 1892 he handed over the office of prime minister to Trikoupis.
