Korea Institute for International Economic Policy

The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy ( KIEP ) is a think tank under the administration and management of South Korea. KIEPs headquarters is located in Seoul District Seochu -gu but is also represented in Beijing with a location. The research focuses on the relations between South Korea and the international economy. The Institute is in the ranking of the University of Pennsylvania 's 25 best think tanks in the category of International Economic Policy. Furthermore KIEP Member of National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences ( NRCS ), the central governing body of South Korean research institutes.

History

KIEP was founded in 1990 on the initiative of the South Korean government and has since been expanded several times. The Center for Regional Economic Studies ( CRES ), for example, was added in 1992, the Beijing office in 1997.
