Kornel Saláta

Kornel Saláta (born 24 January 1985 in Kamenica nad Hronom, Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia) is a Slovak football player. The defender, who can also be used as a defensive midfielder, is since 2011 at FK Rostov under contract and is in the 2013/2014 season on loan at Tom Tomsk.

Club career

Saláta played in his youth for the FK Štúrovo. In the season 2005/ 06 the tall defender for FK Matador Púchov ran on before moving to Artmedia Petržalka in summer 2006. In 2007 Saláta was loaned to Dukla Banská Bystrica, then he returned to Petržalka back and won with the team in 2008, both the Slovak championship and the Slovak Cup competition. In the summer of 2009, the head ball strong and prolific defensive player moved to ŠK Slovan Bratislava, with whom he was Slovakian runner and won the national cup competition. In January 2011 he moved to FK Rostov. End of July 2013 Salata was loaned to Tom Tomsk.

National

Saláta debuted on May 24, 2008 in the Slovak national team, which lost on this day in Lugano 0-2 against Switzerland. He stood in the squad Slovakia for the finals of the football World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
