Kosmaj

Kosmaj (Cyrillic: Космај ) is a mountain in the municipality of Sopot in the district of Belgrade. It has a height of 628 meters and is the highest mountain near Belgrade, but one of the lowest in the region Šumadija. The mountain is located about 35 km south of Belgrade and 15 km west of Mladenovac. He has three protruding peaks, the Mali, the Goli and the Rutavi.

The mountain is thickly forested and surrounded by the resorts in the north Sopot, Rogača in the West, Velika Ivanca in the south, southeast and Koraćica Nemenikuće in the Northeast. A mountain in the north-west is surrounded by the forest, the monastery Tresije from the 13th century.

The mountain and its immediate surroundings are nature and landscape protection since December 2005.
