The Kötz is about 13.2 km long left tributary of the Günz. Thus it is an indirect right tributary of the Danube in Bavaria, Germany. There is a body of water III. Order.

Course

The Kötz rises in fuel Rieder forest at about 516 m above sea level. NN north of the county road NU 2 / GZ 1 (Shooting (municipality: Rye Castle ) ) - Stoffenried (municipality: Ellzee ). The current flowing in a northerly direction Bach, whose catchment area is about 35 square kilometers, overcomes the 13.2 km altitude difference of about 58 m. The Kötz opens between wholesale and Kleinkötz near the bridge of the county road GZ 5 on the Günz to about 458 m above sea level. NN in the Günz.

Tributaries

North of Ingstetten (municipality: Rye Castle ) rises to about 530 m above sea level. NN a nameless creek or ditch, which is longer than the Kötz. It flows in the fabric Rieder forest in the Kötz - approximately at the height of Hausen (municipality: Ellzee ) to approximately 502 m above sea level. NN.

A little further north at the southernmost of the Kötz carrying Weihergehauteiche (about 495 m above sea level. NN ) opens the exterior Kötz in the Kötz. The source of the Outer Kötz is located north of Unteregg (municipality: Rye Castle ) in the fabric Rieder forest to 512 m above sea level. NN.

Ends just before the mouth of the Kötz in the Günz in Großkötz the deaf Riedgraben to about 459 m above sea level. NN in the Kötz.
