Kovlands IF

Kovlands Idrottsförening ( Kovlands IF ) is a Swedish sports club founded in 1903 from Kovland.

History

The club was founded on March 4, 1903. The organization has departments in cross-country skiing, orienteering, ski orienteering, athletics, football and gymnastics. The defunct department in wrestling could make national attention. In 1959, Per- Arne Ytterström won the Swedish championship in this sport. Even the also -defunct ice hockey department was successful with the participation of the third-tier Division 1 in the 1999/2000 season. Following the season the Hockey department resigned from the club and has since been based on the old club name as Kovlands Ishockeyförening in Division 1 at.
