Krabbendijke
Krabbendijke is a town in the southern Netherlands province of Zeeland with about 4,890 inhabitants and an area of 34 km ² ( 2007). In 1970 the until then independent municipality became a district of the newly created United Reimerswaal community on the Zuid- Beveland peninsula.
The village lies on a only 3-4 km wide point of the peninsula between the Oosterschelde in the north and the Westerschelde in the south. Bergen op Zoom is located 13 kilometers north-east, the Belgian port city of Antwerp 30 km southeast and Middelburg, 35 km west-northwest ( all distances in a straight line up to the respective city center).
The next highway exits are located a few kilometers away at Rilland in the east and in the west Kruiningen on the Dutch motorway A58/E312. The Krabbendijke station is located about 3 kilometers east between Krabbendijke and Rilland at Stationsbuurt at the Zeeland Lijn to Flushing. Nationally important airports are in Antwerp and Rotterdam.
