Kramer-Werke GmbH is a manufacturer of compact, all-wheel steer loaders, tele wheel loaders and telehandlers based in Pfullendorf in the district of Sigmaringen in Baden- Württemberg ( Germany ).

History

Founded in 1925 to adjust the tractor construction 1973

1925 built the brothers Kramer in Gutmadingen, today Geisingen in the district of Tuttlingen belonging, the first produced in Germany small motor mowers and tractors. Today's seemingly simple machines revolutionized their time farming. The company's headquarters was relocated in 1952 to Überlingen on Lake Constance.

Between 1957 and 1958 a department for industrial and construction machinery has been created in the company. 1968 attracted the Kramer -Werke stir at the launch of the first German loader with four wheel drive and equal sized wheels. More all-wheel drive machines followed the invention.

In 1973, a massive incision. The business was discontinued in favor of Tractors Construction production.

Focus on Construction 1974-2000

In 1987, a focus on the business -wheel steering. This year, the Kramer 312 SL was the world's first wheel loader with four wheel steering in series. With more than 10,000 units sold, he was the best-selling wheel loader of his time. 1998 Kramer sold the equipment rack series Tremo to Vans.

2000 to today

2000 merged with Neuson Construction GmbH Kramer-Werke GmbH. From this, the Neuson Kramer Construction AG was formed with its headquarters in Linz.

Since 2005, Kramer brings in cooperation with Claas telescopic loaders on the market. As part of this cooperation Claas acquired a minority stake in Kramer.

In December 2006, Kramer announced that the headquarters should be moved up to 2008 from Überlingen to Pfullendorf. On 30 March 2007, the Merger intention of Wacker Construction Equipment AG, Munich, and Neuson Kramer Construction AG, Linz announced. Through the merger, the company Wacker Neuson SE was born.

On 5 April 2007 was given for a 30 - million - euro investment project with the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony in Pfullendorfer industrial area Theuermann Bach the start. The new Kramer 's area is 16 hectares area larger than that in Überlingen. On a 160,000 square meter area, a 250 meter assembly hall, which was completed in February 2008 created long and 100 meters wide.
