Kranichsteiner Literaturpreis

The Kranichsteiner Literature Prize is awarded by the German Literature Fund Darmstadt since 1983. It is named after the Darmstadt district Kranichstein. Since 2002, the literature prize is worth 20,000 euros, in addition to a bronze sculpture by the sculptor Gotthelf Schlotter Darmstadt.

In addition, the jury awards an annual ten-week New York Fellowship, a London - scholarship, two literature fellowships ( 12.000 euros ) and the Kranichsteiner Literature Prize for writers under 35 years ( 5,000 euros ). The jury belong to since 2010 Burkhard Müller, Andreas Platthaus and Lerke of Saalfeld.
