Steffen Popp

Steffen Popp ( born July 18, 1978 in Greifswald ) is a German writer.

Life and work

Steffen Popp grew up in Dresden, where he attended a scientific specialty school. He studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, later literature and philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin. His books of poetry How Alps, Colony sun and thicket with speeches and eyes got huge response in the criticism; His novel Ohrenberg or the way there has won several awards and was nominated for the German Book Prize. He translated among others Poems of the poet Christian Hawkey U.S. and Ben Lerner. Poems by Steffen Popp appear regularly in the newspaper, have been translated into numerous languages ​​and is represented in relevant anthologies.

Steffen Popp lives in Berlin.
