Kreuzeck (Wetterstein)

The top corner is a mountain 4 km south of Garmisch -Partenkirchen with a height of 1651 m. The Kreuzeckgruppe ski resort at 1340 m altitude was created on the occasion of the Olympic Winter Games in 1936. The also situated therein Kandahar is now used for World Cup races. You can reach the top corner with the Kreuzeckbahn. Directly connected to it is the Kreuzeckhaus. On the top corner there is also the FM radio and television stations Garmisch / Kreuzeckgruppe, twelve television programs for the region Garmisch- Partenkirchen be emanating from the five radio stations and via DVB -T.

Winter: ski resort

Summer: mountain views with easy walks to the mountain pasture huts or Kreuzalm and transition to the Alpine peaks. Starting point for challenging mountain hike over Hupfleitenjoch and Knapp Homes for Höllentalanger hut and into Hell Valley.

Directions: breakpoint of the Bavarian Zugspitze Railway.
