Kreuzweg Ost

Stations of the Cross East is a group from Austria, which is attributed to the Martial Industrial and deals mainly with the issues of war and religion.

History

Founded crossroads East by Michael Gregor ( under the pseudonym Silenius at the Austrian black metal band Summoning and Abigor active) and Martin Schirenc ( Pungent Stench and Hollenthon ). Soon after the release of their debut album Iron Avantgarde Schirenc left the band.

2003 has been extended by Oliver Stummer and Ronald Albrecht again crossroads east of Gregory. With this cast, 2005, the album patina and 2012 God was published with us.

Music

Common to the publications of Calvary East that no singing in the strict sense occurs. Instead, samples from war or religion thematizing films of various genres, including The Name of the Rose, The Magic Mountain, on the Western Front and The Legionnaire, used, " so to speak, the function of song" take over, according to VV A- Blaze, making " the songs also a regular radio play character [ develop ], in which one can imagine the individual images [ ... ] vividly before the mind's eye ".
