Under this name he recorded the songs Of Bluthsaugern and Invocations; the band was then a member of the Austrian Black Metal Syndicate ( ABMS ), which included, among other things Pervertum, Trifixion, Amestigon and Abigor. Both songs appeared on the compilation ABMS - Norici Obscura Pars. After a long pause, he wrote new material that hardly had in common with it, and changed the name to Hollenthon to risk any legal problems. Under the new name appeared on Napalm Records released their first album, Domus Mundi. In June 2001, the second album With vilest of worms to dwell appeared.

After seven years break and the end of his main project Pungent Stench presented mastermind Martin Schirenc in 2008, his third album called Magnum Opus done, which also appeared on Napalm Records in June 2008 and retained the style of the previous two albums. Contrary to the assumption that it is thematically grappling with religion, stressed Shirenc, the text negotiated by the human race and its self-destruction. The use of biblical symbolism inspiring a different impression, but actually it is a secular and a socially critical issue. While the band was able to give concerts rarely before their hiatus due to occupation problems, Shirenc announced, now as often as possible to appear and show want that Hollenthon was a real band and not a studio project live; were announced appearances at numerous festivals like Graspop Metal Meeting, Waldrock, Brutal Assault and Summer Breeze.
