Kris Jensen

Kris Jensen, born as Peter Kristian Jensen ( born April 4, 1942 in New Haven, Connecticut) is an American pop singer.

Career

Jensen was born the son of Scandinavian immigrants. At 15, he learned to play guitar and performed at school dances. Jensen was an avid fan of Burl Ives and Chet Atkins. In the summer of 1960, he met the country singer Wesley Rose know who gave him a two-year record deal. Staying Up Late / Bonnie Baby 1959 was Jensen's first single. In August 1960, he took on the disk School Bus / Perfect Lover for Leader Records. After another single, he moved to Kapp Records, 1963 Hickory Records. The first single in Hickory was Jensen's biggest hit at the same time. Torture / Let's Sit Down reached number 20 of the U.S. Billboard charts. The composition by John D. Loudermilk Torture remained Jensen's only placement in the charts. In 1963 he joined inter alia, in the English TV show Thank Your Lucky Stars on. In 1966 he signed a contract with White Whale Records, two plates were published, in 1970 he was briefly A & M Records.
