Krushynka

Kruschynka (Ukrainian Крушинка; Russian Kruschinka ) is a Ukrainian village in the Kiev Oblast, near the Rajonshauptstadt Vasylkiv. According to the latest census, it has 347 inhabitants.

According to legend, the name of the village comes from the plant buckthorn (Ukrainian Крушина / Kruschyna ). First mention of the village dates from the year 1851. During the German occupation numerous inhabitants were deported to forced labor in the German Empire. A built in 19th century church was destroyed in Soviet times and rebuilt in the 1990s. The place is popular due to its proximity to the capital as a Datschensiedlung at the Kiewern.

For District Municipality include not only the main town Kruschynka nor the villages Boryssiw ( Борисів ) Derewjanky ( Дерев'янки ) Salisne ( Залізне ), Mala Buhajiwka ( Мала Бугаївка ) and the settlement Selenyj Bir ( Зелений Бір ).
