Krzyżanowice, Silesian Voivodeship

Krzyżanowice [ kʃɨʒanɔ'v iʦɛ ʲ ] ( German Kreuzenort ) is a village and seat of the rural community in the powiat Raciborski, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. The village is located on the regional road 45 near the border with the Czech Republic.

Attractions

  • Park of the former palace of the Lichnowsky family. Here Franz Liszt and Ludwig van Beethoven were visiting.
  • The St. Peter and Paul Church in Tworkau was first mentioned in 1339; the present building is one of the most important works of the baroque architecture of the Ratiborer country. In the cellars of the church is a crypt with coffins from 1650.
