KS Pogradeci

KS Pogradeci is an Albanian football club based in Pogradec, currently playing in the second highest league.

History

The club was established in 1932 under the name Klubi Sportiv Dragoj Pogradec.

In the 1936 season the club played for the first time in Albania's highest league, which was then called Kategoria e Pare. Also the 1937 season, the club remained in the Kategoria e Pare, then the League operation was interrupted.

1950 the club played as Spartaku Pogradec for a year back in the top division. 1952 was even the League receipt. 1953 but was again followed the descent. The season 1964/65 and 1968 spent the club - this time with the name Ylli i Kuq Pogradec ( Red Star Pogradec ) - again in the first division, but each ended up in last place.

The greatest success of the club's history was the semi-finals of the Albanian Football Cup in season 1992 /93. Since the 1991/92 season, the club played, now with the name KS Pogradeci, again in the first division, but increased in 1993 again.

Another season the club spent 2011/12 in the highest top division Kategoria Superiore.
