Kuban Shield
The Ärmelschild Kuban was a struggle badge of the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War.
He was endowed on 20 September 1943 by Adolf Hitler and awarded to the German participants of the fights along the beachhead Cuba ( February-October 1943). The plate was Cuba, who in the time since February 1, 1943, involved in the fighting on Cuba beachhead on land, in the air or water and has fulfilled one of the following conditions:
- Participation in a major battle
- Wound
- Continuous use of at least 60 days of fighting

The size of the shield, which was worn on the left sleeve, was 52 x 62 mm with a cloth pad of 64 x 77 mm. Made was the shield made from thin sheet or zinc.
The Ärmelschild was awarded Hitler's orders as Commander in Chief of the armed forces of Field Marshal Ewald von Kleist. A total of about 50,000 pieces including a certificate of possession and pin were issued.
According to the law on titles, medals and decorations of 26 July 1957, the wearing of the award in the Federal Republic of Germany is only permitted without Nazi emblems.
