Kudjoe Affutu

Kudjoe Affutu, also Kudjo Affutu (* 1985 in Awutu Bawyiase, Central Region, Ghana) is a Ghanaian coffin artist.

Life and work

Kudjoe Affutu received from 2002 to 2006 at the internationally known artist Paa Joe in Nungua Coffin (Greater Accra ) his education. Since 2007 Kujdoe Affutu performs in his hometown of her own studio, where he produces figurative coffins and sculptures for Ghanaian funerals, but also on behalf of art museums, private collectors and artists. In Europe in particular, he has made an international name with its investments in exhibitions and artistic projects. Kudjoe Affutus works are in the collections of the Museum der Kulturen Basel and the Musée d' ethnography de Neuchâtel.
