Kühgundkopf

From Iseler with Tannheimer mountains and Tannheimertal

The Kühgundkopf ( in Austrian Cards: Wannenjoch ) is a 1907 meters ( according to the Austrian Survey: 1908 m) high mountain in the Allgäu Alps. The Kühgundspitze (1852 m) is a rock head with a cross in the northeast ridge of the mountain that pulls off the Tannheimer valley.

Location

He is a mountain of upper yoke and together with the Iseler the northern end of the Rauhhorn - train. Both of upper yoke and Schattwald drag lifts against this elongated, slightly north rocky ridge up. In winter there are ski resorts. The prominence of the Kühgundspitze is at least 287 meters, its dominance 1.6 km, in each case the reference Bschiesser mountain is.

Geology

Bem Kühgundkopf is a main Dolomite peaks on a base of Lias marl and stain Kössener layers (ie, change in stock leaved marl with dark, dense and well banked limestones ).

Routes to the summit

  • From upper yoke on rear Wiedhagalpe ( about 2.5 hours )
  • From Behind Stone (866 m) above the Zipfelsalpe ( approx. 3 hours)
  • Schattwald ( 1072m ) through Stuibental ( about 2.5 hours )
  • From the mountain station of the Iselerbahn ( upper yoke ) on Iseler and Iselergrat, tightrope therefore caution with children ( approximately 1.5 hours )
  • From the mountain station of the Wannenjochbahn ( Schattwald ) (ca. 45 min. )
