Kulbhushan Kharbanda

Kulbhushan Kharbanda (Hindi: कुलभूषण खरबंदा, Kulbhūṣaṇ Kharbanda, born October 21, 1944 in Jalandhar ) is an Indian film actor.

Kulbhushan Kharbanda earned his drama degree at the Film and Television Institute of India, the state acting school in Pune. He had Jadu Ka Shankh 1974 in his film debut. He is one next to Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Om Puri and Smita Patil to the group of actors of the new Indian film of the 1970s and 1980s, were also involved in artistically ambitious film projects. These together, he starred in several films Shyam Benegals.

Kharbanda appeared in all three films of Deepa Mehta's Elements Trilogy ( Fire ( 1996), Earth ( 1998) and Water (2005 ) ) on. He played in the 1980s in mainstream productions. For his role as a villain Shakal in Shaan Sippys Ramesh (1980 ), he shaved himself bald. He was also successful abroad films Monsoon Wedding and Lagaan to see (here as Raja ).
