Kurshab River

The Kurschab (Russian Куршаб ) is a left tributary of the Syr Darya river source Karadarja in Kyrgyzstan.

The Kurschab originates on the north slope of the Alai Mountains. In the upper reaches of the river is called Gulcha ( Гульча ). It flows north through the highlands and flows after 157 km in the traversed by Karadarja Andijan reservoir. At the river, the city is Gulcha. The Kurschab drains an area of 3750 km ². The mean discharge ( MQ ) in estuary near is 24.6 m³ / s The water of the Kurschab is used for irrigation.
