Kurt Müller (footballer)
Kurt " Kudi " Müller ( born May 9, 1948 in Lucerne ) is a former Swiss footballer ( striker ) and coach.
Career
Clubs
The trained sign painter from the canton of Lucerne Emmen bridge went through the youth stations at FC Emmen bridge and joined in 1968 the FC Lucerne in the National League A in. In the first year NLA he rose in 1968/69 from Lucerne with, managed with his teammates but together with FC Sion its chances of promotion. As Egon Milder he scored 1969/70 in the promotion round 13 goals. With 15 goals he had 1970/71 decisive role in the relegation of FC Luzern. His personal performance was also acknowledged by his debut on 16 December 1970 in the national team. After three rounds at FC Lucerne, he accepted the offer from Grasshopper Club Zurich and played 1971/72 in Hardturmstraße Stadium. He scored 13 goals for GC and finished with the " Hoppers" third. Since his striker qualities were meanwhile also noticed in the Bundesliga, to " Kudi " Müller adopted after a year and a half from Zurich and pulled to the Spree and played from the second half 1972/73 Hertha BSC Berlin.
In the first round in the land of the new Football European Championship 1972, he was under coach Helmut Kronsbein now a regular player on the side of Erich Beer and Lorenz Horr In 15 games he scored five goals. Also in the second year he was one as its namesake Ludwig Müller with 32 inserts and nine goals, the core of the starting eleven at the Berlin, who finished eighth at the round end. National Team, 1970-1977
Between 1970 and 1977 graduated Müller 41 games for the Swiss national football team in which he scored seven goals. Coached by Louis Maurer made his debut on 16 December 1970 at the European Championship qualifier against Greece in Piraeus in the "Nati ".
